ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has claimed 88 lives in Capiz.
Based on the data released by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Sunday morning, Roxas City has the highest number of fatalities with 50.
Pontevedra has 10 followed by Pilar (5), Sigma (4) Ivisan (3), Dumarao, Maayon, Mambusao, and President Roxas with 2 each; Cuartero, Dao, Dumalag, Jamindan, Panay, Panitan, Sapian, and Tapaz with 1 each.
The province has 1,943 confirmed cases (1,621 recoveries and 243 active cases).
One of the latest to die from COVID was a person from Ivisan on Saturday, bringing the death toll in the town to three.
The latest fatality, according to the Rural Health Unit of Ivisan, was a 37-year-old male from Brgy. Basiao with no history of travel or exposure to positive cases.
