Court employee killed in Negros Oriental
BACOLOD City – A subpoena officer of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) in the towns of Tayasan and Jimalalud in Negros Oriental was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-riding perpetrators at Barangay Poblacion, Tayasan town last Tuesday. Police identified the victim as Roger Serna, 57, of the said village.

BACOLOD City – A subpoena officer of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) in the towns of Tayasan and Jimalalud in Negros Oriental was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-riding perpetrators at Barangay Poblacion, Tayasan town last Tuesday.
Police identified the victim as Roger Serna, 57, of the said village.
Chief Master Sergeant Edelberto Euroba III, public information officer of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (Norppo), said the victim was riding a motorcycle on his way home when the assailants tailed him.
The perpetrators, whose faces were covered with helmets, shot Serna several times when he slowed down on a speed bump.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds that caused his immediate death.
Police recovered from the scene six cartridges of .45-caliber ammunition and a deformed slug.
Investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the killing.
