BACOLOD City – A family of three was arrested after 80 grams of suspected shabu worth P544,000 were seized from them in a buy-bust operation at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 here last Monday.
Police Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, head of Police Station 2, identified the main subject of the operation as Michael Young, 23, of the said village.
Also arrested were his parents – Raquel, 50; and Harold, 52.
Pendon said that Young was arrested for illegal gambling in 2019, while his parents were arrested for a drug offense and were released last year after serving the sentence.
Pendon said they placed Young under monitoring for one month.
“Daw ang guwa conspiracy na kay kabalo man ang nanay and tatay,” he added.
Police also recovered from them a plastic scooper, a pair of scissors, lighter, digital weighing scale, and the P1,000 marked money.
Pendon said they have already identified the source of the illegal drugs, and will be subjected to a follow-up operation.
