BACOLOD CITY—A couple was again arrested in a buy-bust operation that allegedly yielded 110 grams of suspected shabu worth P748,000 in Barangay Taculing last Saturday.
This is the second apprehension of a 41-year-old man and his 28-year-old live-in partner for a drug offense, according to Police Captain Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).
Mogato said the couple was first arrested for the same offense in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, in 2022, but the case was dismissed.
He added that the woman was also arrested for a drug offense in 2015, but that case was also dismissed.
Mogato said they monitored the couple after receiving reports of their alleged involvement in illegal activities.
He said the man was the subject of the operation and was considered a high-value individual.
Charges for the sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs, as well as conspiracy, will be filed against the couple, according to the CDEU.
