Couple nabbed in drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A man and his live-in partner were arrested Wednesday night in a drug buy-bust operation here.

The Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) conducted the operation at Block 1, Malipayon Village, Barangay Tiza here.

The operatives arrested Nestor Domulong, 32, and his live-in partner Lanie Sonico, 41, both residents of said place.

Recovered from the suspects were five plastic sachets of suspected shabu, P1,000 marked money, a disposable lighter, aluminum foil, and several drug paraphernalias.

Dumulong admitted using illegal drugs a year ago but denied selling narcotics.

Charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against the suspects who are detained at the police station of Roxas City.
