Couple killed in hit-and-run

BACOLOD City – A couple died after they were allegedly hit by a pick-up truck at Purok Puncian, Barangay Lopez Jaena, Murcia, Negros Occidental Saturday, October 26.
Police identified the fatalities as Junnil Nabua, 32; and wife, Maria Lucil Nabua, 33, both residents of Lower South Hills, Barangay Tisa, Cebu City.
Police records showed that the victims were riding a motorcycle when the pick-up truck driven by an unidentified person allegedly collided with them. The car dragged them few meters away from the point of accident.
The car driver left the victims and abandoned his vehicle when he reached Purok Lumboy at the said village.
Personnel of Murcia Municipal Police Station have already identified the owner of the vehicle but told them that the car was rented by an unknown driver.
The victims’ family is calling on the pick-up truck driver to surrender as soon as possible.
