BACOLOD CITY – Police seized 315 grams of suspected shabu worth P2,142,000 from a couple during a buy-bust operation at their rented house in Purok Langis, Barangay Banago, on Wednesday night.
Arrested were a 23-year-old woman, alias “Inday,” of Barangay Banago, and her 24-year-old live-in partner from Barangay 3.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr., head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said the female suspect had been under surveillance for three weeks following reports of her alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.
She was also listed on the CDEU’s drugs watchlist, Benitez said.
Both suspects were identified as high-value individuals due to the large quantity of illegal drugs recovered.
The shabu is believed to have been sourced from outside the city, and police are investigating to determine the origin.
Drug charges are being prepared against the two suspects, who are currently detained at Police Station 3.
