BACOLOD City – More than P1.2 million worth of illegal drugs was seized in the PNP’s campaign against narcotics here and in Negros Occidental from Sept 1 to 4, 2019.
Of the said figure, P791,000 worth of suspected shabu were confiscated in four days.
In Bacolod, six persons were arrested in four separate buy-bust operations which led to the recovery of P337,000 worth of suspected shabu, and P333,660 worth of suspected marijuana.
In Negros Occidental, P454,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized in seven drug bust operations in the cities of Victorias, Cadiz, Bago, Silay, La Carlota, and San Carlos. A total of 19 persons were arrested.
Of the total number of arrested persons, 13, including a minor, were arrested in an alleged drug den in San Carlos City last Tuesday.
Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, Negros Occidental police director, said “the series of confiscation of illegal drugs is a clear indication that the supply of drugs is already decreasing.”
