ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police are investigating the alleged hold up incident that happened Wednesday afternoon at Brgy. Binuntucan Pontevedra, Capiz.
The Pontevedra Municipal Police Station is probing the complaint of lending collector Ronaldo Alcazaren, 22, of Sitio Catmon, Barangay Navitas, Panay, Capiz.
Alcazaren told the police that he was driving a motorcycle when three unidentified suspects accosted and robbed him of his backpack that contained money and personal belongings.
He said one of the masked suspects wore a red long-sleeved shirt.
Alcazaren’s backpack contained P1,000 personal cash, his P50,000 collections, and a tablet.
Punong Barangay Alfonso Dilla of Brgy. Binuntucan said Alcazaren was injured after he tried to run after the suspects.
The village chief confirmed that it was the second time that a hold up incident occurred in his barangay. He said he could not ascertain whether the suspects were residents of his barangay.
