BACOLOD City – Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 vowed to be more exacting in their campaign against illegal drugs, and will go after high value individuals in Western Visayas, following the P13,940,000 drug haul in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental yesterday.
Joint operatives of San Carlos City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division (RID)-6, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-6 arrested Emmanuel Siaboc, 31, of Barangay 6, who is listed as a high value individual of PRO-6.
He was with William Allones but the latter escaped during the operation at Barangay 1.
Police recovered during the operation about two kilos of suspected shabu, the P200,000 marked money, and P100,000 boodle money.
Pursuit operation is ongoing for the arrest of Allones.
Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, PRO-6 spokesperson, said the source of the contraband might be the same supplier to the three persons arrested in Cebu last Sunday in P47-million drug bust, and the P13.7 million in suspected drugs seized from a resident of San Carlos City which led to a bloody shootout in Sibulan, Negros Oriental on that same day.
Malong said the successful arrest of Siaboc came after they were able to get information from the Sibulan incident.
“Nag connect-connect na sila, pero wala ta kabalo kung gin hand in lang na kay gabaligya man siya (Siaboc),” she added.
Malong said it is possible that the illegal drugs were transported through San Carlos City, but the source of it might be somewhere else.
“It is being distributed in different areas,” she added.
