ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three persons facing charges for rape and acts of lasciviousness were arrested Thursday morning in Jamindan, Capiz.
The suspects were Mara Sultan, 19; Gilbert Ocate, 19, both of Barangay Agcagay; and John Carlo Flor, 23, of Barangay Pangabat. They were collared a day after Regional Trial Court Branch Judge Rommel Leonor of Mambusao, Capiz issued the arrest warrant on April 7, 2021.
The three are facing two counts of rape with no bail recommended by the court, and acts of lasciviousness with P130,000 bail each.
They are detained at the Jamindan Police Station as of this writing.
Meanwhile, arrest warrants were served against four inmates of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Barangay San Jose, Roxas City.
Cases of robbery were filed against Rheymart Manalo, 33; Jads Manican, 25, both of Barangay 5, and Redentor Amancio, 32, and Rafael Abaracoso, 33, of Brgy. Punta Tabuc here.
Municipal Circuit Trial Court Branch 11 Judge Steven P. Carcado of Janiuay and Badiangan Iloilo issued the warrant on February 10, 2021. The court recommended P18,000 bail each for their temporary liberty.
