JAMINDAN, Capiz – Police here are clueless on who hacked dead a farmer, who was accused of being an aswang or a flesh-eating creature, Wednesday night.
The Jamindan Municipal Police Station said they have no suspects in the death of Gilbert Cusay, 45, of Barangay Jaena Norte here.
Police Staff Sergeant Lou Robles said Cusay has no derogatory records in their barangay.
Cusay was found dead near their house days after being branded an aswang in their village.
Police said that there was no misunderstanding or quarrel between the victim and his wife.
Investigators are waiting for the results of the post-mortem examination on Cusay’s body.
Prior to the incident, the victim told his family that he will harvest his ginger plants in his farm, but he failed to return home.
