BACOLOD City – Two persons, including a policeman, were wounded after they figured in a collision at Cometa-Burgos Streets, Barangay 17 here yesterday.
Wounded were Police Chief Master Sergeant Ranier Canja, 45, a personnel of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG), and Archie Angel, 35, of Barangay 35 here.
According to Police Staff Sergeant Gerwin Catolico, investigator of Police Station 2, Canja was riding the Philippine National Police (PNP) HPG marked motorcycle on his way home, when Angel, who was also riding his motorcycle allegedly suddenly crossed the road.
Both motorcycles were allegedly speeding when the accident happened, Catolico said.
Angel suffered injuries in his left leg, while Canja had scratches on his body, Catolico said.
Angel was taken to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, while Canja was brought to a private hospital here.
Catolico said that both parties have yet to talk.
“Depende sa ila kung ma-settle sila or ma-file sila kaso,” he added.
