ROXAS CITY, Capiz– Mayor Ronnie Dadivas has ordered the closure of a construction supply store here for failure to deliver materials for several infrastructure projects of the city government undertaken by the previous administration.
Armed with a closure order, Dadivas personally shuttered Solidus Construction Supply located at the Roxas City Government and Business Center on Taft Street in Brgy. 3 here.
Dadivas was accompanied by members of the Roxas City police, Bureau of Fire Protection, City Engineer’s Office and City Licensing Division in the implementation of the closure order.
The mayor said the establishment failed to supply construction materials needed for the rehabilitation of barangay roads in Barangays Cagay, Barra and Libas until now.
He said the city government has paid for the materials, but no deliveries were made, leading to delays in the projects.
Dadivas assured that he will hasten the projects in the barangays.
