Construction worker stabbed dead in Lambunao

A construction worker was stabbed to death evening of Nov. 30 at Lambunao, Iloilo.
The body of 31-year-old Fernando Pastrana was found at a roadside at Barangay Cayan Oeste, Lambunao, some 500 meters away from their home, at around 10:52 p.m. on Thursday.
He was rushed to Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido District Hospital in Lambunao town but he was declared dead on arrival.
Major Jogen Suegay, Lambunao police chief, said that the victim suffered at least three stab injuries – on his head, his forehead, and his right eye.
Pastrana allegedly left home around 7 p.m. to buy something.
It was not immediately known where went but his family claimed he drove his motorcycle.
The motorcycle was later found next to his body.
Suegay said he could have been waylaid by at least two persons.
But for now, police investigators have yet to establish a motive and identify the suspects behind the incident.
