Construction worker shot dead by drinking buddy

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 33-year-old construction worker was shot dead by his drinking buddy Sunday evening at Sitio Ilawod, Barangay Capagao in Panitan, Capiz.

Michael Obligar succumbed to fatal gunshot wounds in the chest.

Based on the investigation of Panitan Municipal Police Station, Obligar and suspect Dennis Depanay, 45, were drinking liquor when a heated argument ensued between them.

Depanay went home and returned a few minutes later with a 12-guage shotgun.

The suspect shot Obligar then fled. The victim died at Bailan District Hospital.

Depanay remains at large.
