BACOLOD CITY – A construction worker and his live-in partner were arrested in a buy-bust operation at Sitio So-ol, Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental, last Thursday.
Police apprehended the 40-year-old man from Barangay 2 and his 24-year-old partner from La Carlota City.
Confiscated from the suspects were 14 grams of suspected shabu worth P95,200 and the P3,100 marked money.
Both suspects are considered street-level individuals, according to the police.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, Silay police chief, said the couple was reported to be supplying illegal drugs in Barangay Rizal.
Darroca noted that this was the couple’s first apprehension for a drug offense, but they had undergone a community-based drug rehabilitation program in 2022.
