Construction worker nabbed in drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 42-year-old construction worker was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office together with the Station Drug Enforcement Teams of Pontevedra, President Roxas, and Pilar Municipal Police Stations Thursday at  Barangay Rizal, Pontevedra, Capiz.

Police identified the suspect as Stephen Borbon, 32, of Barangay Tabuc of said town.

Recovered from Borbon were 7 sachets of suspected shabu worth P340,000.

A pouch and the P6,500 marked money were also recovered.

Borbon is detained at the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
