Construction worker caught stealing gold jewelry in store

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A construction worker was caught in the act of stealing from a store on the afternoon of Jan. 22 in Sitio Luyo, Barangay Culasi, Roxas City.
Hazel Abelarde, 43, a businesswoman and resident of the area, discovered the suspect, identified as Neil John Añero Adrias, 31, inside her store.
She immediately sought assistance from security personnel of the Philippine Ports Authority in Barangay Culasi, who apprehended the suspect.
Recovered from Adrias was a small jewelry pouch containing a 21-karat gold necklace, a 21-karat gold bracelet, and another necklace, all valued at more than PHP 30,000.
Police officers responded promptly and brought the suspect to the Roxas City Police Station for proper disposition.
