Construction worker arrested for carnapping rap in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A construction worker was arrested at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 21, in Barangay Poblacion, Jamindan, Capiz, for alleged carnapping, police said.
Police identified the suspect as Dolfy Durana, also known as “Ping Ping” and “Dolphy Kid Montoya Durana,” 35, a construction worker and a resident of Sunshine Village in Barangay Banica, Roxas City.
Durana was arrested by personnel of the Jamindan Municipal Police Station by virtue of a warrant for violation of Section 3 of Republic Act 10883, or the Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Sesinio Navales Belen Jr. of Branch 15 of the Regional Trial Court in Roxas City on Dec. 3, 2025.
The court recommended bail of PHP 300,000 for Durana’s temporary liberty.
He is currently detained at the Jamindan Municipal Police Station pending proper disposition of the case.
Police said the suspect is listed among the top eight most wanted persons at the municipal level.
