Reports of commotion topped the Iloilo City Police Office’s (ICPO) emergency calls received through the government’s unified Emergency 911 (E911) system.
From June 7 to July 6, the ICPO City Tactical Operations Center (CTOC) recorded 28 emergency incidents via the 911 hotline.
Commotion incidents, typically involving mauling, accounted for five of the calls.
This was followed by three calls each related to alarm and scandal, threats, and road crashes.
One report each was received for the following: violation of Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004), medical assistance, nuisance, marital issues, police assistance, family-related nuisance, alleged street brawl, noise complaint, alleged malicious mischief, person running amok, family misunderstanding, alleged rape, sighting of armed men in camouflage, vehicular collision, and altercation or misunderstanding.
Col. Kim Legada, ICPO chief, said all calls were promptly addressed by responding police units.
He emphasized the ICPO’s commitment to public safety and rapid response.
““Indi niyo na kami pagpangitaon sa mga presinto bangud ang inyo kapulisan ara sa inyo telepono – dial 911, magaabot kami sa sulod sang lima ka minute,” he reiterated.
Legada said the ICPO remains committed to delivering swift and responsive public service in line with one of the core leadership pillars of PNP chief Gen. Nicolas D. Torre III.
He said this commitment is evident in the police office’s consistent and timely response to 911 calls from the public.
Legada assured the community that the ICPO will continue to uphold its mission of maintaining a peaceful and orderly city where every Ilonggo can live, work, and thrive in safety.
