NBA Commissioner Adam Silver stated that the NBA’s shutdown amid the COVID-19 issue would most likely to be at least 30 days.
With Silver’s recent announcement of suspending all basketball activities in the NBA while the league still figures out their next actions. he said that shutting down the league for the meantime would be the best and smartest move in order to protect the players, coaches, and fans.
Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz’s superstar center, has tested positive for COVID-19 and what’s worse is that hours after him testing positive, his teammate, Donovan Mitchell, also tested positive.
Gobert was slapped with criticisms after trolling NBA’s safety measures regarding coronavirus earlier this week, only to be tested positive.
A two-time defensive player of the NBA, Gobert was the first in the NBA community to be diagnosed, followed by his teammate Mitchell.
The NBA’s decision to suspend the season indefinitely amid the COVID-19 outbreak will leave countless employees out of work across the league.
Mark Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks owner, already promised all workers under the Mavericks that he would help them regarding their income with the NBA still inactive.
