More or less 100 persons with disability (PWDs) will be participating in the simulation of voting which will be conducted by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) on January 21, 2020.
In a media release, Alice Bernadette P. Naranjo, COMELEC Passi City Elections Officer III and designated media coordinator, said that the activity will be held in pursuance of the commission’s advocacy to cater to the needs of the PWDs.
“The simulation of voters, exclusively for PWDs, is a special project of COMELEC to further enhance the voting experience of PWDs in the coming May 9, 2022 national and local elections,” she said.
She said the simulation of voting will be held at the New Senior High School Building of Central Philippine University, Jaro district here, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Commissioner Al Parreno will be gracing the occasion,” she said.
She added that the PWDs who will be taking part in the simulation of voting will be coming from Iloilo City and several municipalities in Iloilo province. (PIA-Iloilo)
