ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is pushing for mall voting in Roxas City for next year’s elections.
In a press conference on Tuesday, October 15, Atty. Rommel Benliro, the city election officer, said there is a possibility that registered voters from Barangays X and XI will vote at Robinsons Place-Roxas.
The move aims to provide convenience, especially for persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, and pregnant women.
Previously, voters from Barangays X and XI cast their votes at Capiz National High School (CNHS) along with voters from Barangay Tiza.
Comelec is still assessing whether other barangays could be included in the mall voting initiative.
