BACOLOD CITY – A cock farm caretaker was gunned down inside his friend’s house in Campo Siete, Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, on Sunday night.
Police identified the victim as “Mon-Mon,” 41.
Police Captain Honey Labaro, deputy chief of the San Carlos City Police Station, said the victim was watching television when an unidentified person entered the house and shot him.
Labaro said the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was declared dead at a hospital.
Labaro noted that they are still probing the incident to determine the motive and identify the perpetrator.
He added that they could not provide more details to avoid hampering the investigation.
According to his wife, the victim had no previous offenses.
