Coast Guard continues search for missing boat passengers

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Sub-Stations in Banica, Roxas City and in Carles, Iloilo and Masbate province are jointly conducting search and rescue operations for the three missing persons after their motor banca capsized at the height of typhoon Jolina.
Petty Officer 2 Quelin Palmaira, Sub-Station Commander of Coast Guard Sub-Station in Banica, said the operations were temporarily postponed Thursday afternoon and resumed Friday.
Palmaira said the PCG will be alerted to information that will locate the missing persons identified as:
-Marlon Pablo, 6;
-Rico Pablo, 9;
-Romeo Bataican J., 10.
The families were hoping that their missing relatives are still alive and in safe condition.
Earlier, four members of a family that was reported missing onboard a motor banca were rescued.
The PCG rescued Romeo Bataican, Rhoda Moncillo, and Romelyn Bataican at Panguirangan Balud, Masbate. They are confined to a hospital in Masbate.
