CMIT to launch online communication platform for CARD MRI staff; signs MOA with Kollab

CARD MRI Information Technology (CMIT) entered a memorandum of agreement with Kollab, the service provider of Google Workspace in the Philippines, in the Google Philippines Headquarters on September 6, 2022.

CMIT was represented by President and CEO Edgar Cauyan, while Kollab by CEO and Chief Evangelist Herald Uy. Also present at the event were CMIT Vice President for Business Development Maricar Lopez, CFO and Chief People Officer Cyra Uy, Head of Google Workspace Sales for Southeast Asia Tomoyuki Nakatani, Jesmark Benedicto, and officers from CMIT, Kollab, and Google. Joining via conference call were CARD Bank President and CEO Marivic Austria, CARD MRI Rizal Bank Inc. President and CEO Elma Valenzuela, and CARD SME Bank President and CEO Cynthia Baldeo.

“As the IT company of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions, we take upon the role of ensuring that no one gets left behind as we continue our journey of digital transformation. This includes the backbone of our organization, our staff all over the country,” Cauyan explained. He also mentioned that the partnership with Kollab will not only improve productivity and efficiency, but also staff engagement.

“Currently, we have more than 16,500 staff in our over 3,000 offices nationwide. One of the core values that we uphold is family spirit. As such, it is important for us that we grow and deepen our connection with one another. We believe that with innovation and technology, it is possible that we strengthen our commitment to fulfilling our common goal of poverty eradication,” Cauyan continued.

The MOA with Kollab is the first step towards the introduction of CMIT of its project, the Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) , as the platform that will allow CARD MRI staff to stay connected online. UCC will have features such as email, cloud storage, calendar, real-time chats, virtual conferences, and more. Google Workspace is CMIT’s chosen solution for the UCC being the most suitable for the needs and requirements of the CARD MRI workforce.
