OPA head Japhet Masculino said his office is completing the required documentation that will be submitted to the Department of Agriculture (DA) regional office.
“We are collating data to prove that there is need for cloud seeding operations, Masculino said.
The OPA is also studying the effects of cloud seeding on mango trees which are already in the flowering stage.
Masculino said they are also processing the purchase of Axial Water Pumps that will allow them to tap water sources near farmlands.
Earlier, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Administration (PAGASA) warned of a mild El Niño that will hit the country from March until August or September 2019.
