BACOLOD City – The ceiling of a classroom in Domingo Lacson National High School here collapsed probably due to lack of metal hanger support.
In a media interview, high school teacher James Sevillejo said a student who came to class early Wednesday discovered the incident.
Sevillejo said the incident probably happened Tuesday night.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported because it was a holiday, he added.
The classroom is being used for English classes of senior high students. It is situated at the third floor of Building C.
The third floor area has been vacated in the meantime while authorities fix the damage.
Classes are temporarily held in other classrooms pending the inspection of the building.
