City Hall job hire nabbed over lascivious acts raps

A job hire of the Iloilo City government was arrested morning of Aug 30, 2022 in Barangay San Pedro, Molo, Iloilo City.
The suspect, Ethelred Herrera, 48, of Zone 7 Barangay Calumpang, Molo, was accused of acts of lasciviousness.
He is reportedly assigned to the Boarding House Commission of the Iloilo City government.
Members of the Iloilo City Police Station 4, the Iloilo City Police Office-City Intelligence Unit (ICPO-CIU), the PNP Anti Kidnapping Group (AKG) Iloilo-Bacolod Satellite and Leganes Municipal Police Station collared the suspect.
Herrera has an arrest warrant for violation of Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse) docketed as Criminal Case No. CC 22-87845.
Judge Regina Centenera Galang-Guarin of the Regional Trial Court Branch 30 in Iloilo City issued the arrest warrant on Aug. 23, 2022.
A P200,000 bail was recommended for his provisional liberty.
Major Marlyn Roquero, ICPS6 chief, said the suspect was accused by a 13-year-old girl, who happened to be his daughter’s classmate.
The alleged incident happened in February 2022.
Herrera was released after posting a surety bond.
