Former Gilas head coach Chot Reyes and Gilas legend Jimmy Alapag will be joining the Hoop Coaches International Webinar hosted by PBA team Blackwater Elite and Ariel Vanguardia.
Reyes, who propelled the Philippines to a FIBA World Championship comeback after a long drought, tackled what Puso is all about, and what #HEARTofaleader means to a team.
#PUSO was trending all over the world after Philippines’ dramatic finish win against South Korea during the 2013 FIBA Asia semifinals, with coach Reyes manning the helm on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Alapag, who was the heart and soul of the 2013 Gilas roster, shared his expertise towards the topic: building relationships within a team between coaches and players.
Right after Alapag decided to retire from the PBA, he immediately jumped to coaching duties, serving as Meralco Bolts’ assistant coach, Alab Pilipinas (ABL) head coach, and now a part of San Miguel Beermen’s coaching staff.
Also, Blackwater is auctioning items with proceeds going to the frontliners who are helping the country combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Items to be auctioned are books, DVDs, coaching boards, and other items signed by PBA legends such as Jong Uichico, Alex Compton, Nash Racela, etc.
