Chooks-to-Go continued to help the stranded Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who doubled in numbers as more came home from international flights.
Although almost 200 OFWs already went home as flights were made available to their respective provinces, the number of stranded OFWs continues to increase.
Recognizing the difficult situation, the staff of Chooks-to-Go went back to Pasay and delivered cooked meal packs to the OFWs and airport personnel for their second wave of help.
The 400 OFWs were then sent to Villamor Elementary School for temporary lodging and will wait for the next available flights to go home.
Ronald Mascariñas, Chooks-to-Go president, vowed to offer his help to the government and the frontliners amid the ongoing battle with the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The least we can do is keep them strong and satiated as they continue their difficult journey back to their hometowns. May they find comfort in the simple meals we’ve shared,” said Mascariñas.
