The spectacular society fundraising soirée of the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines 2025 awards unfurled in a glittering black-tie gala at the Grand Ballroom of the upscale Shangri-La at the Fort in Taguig, Metro Manila.
Now on its 22nd year, BDWP raises funds for the Philippine Cancer Society, with the country’s prominent personalities sharing their utmost resources for this glamorous and noble cause.
Once the spotlight hit the runway, the awardees were presented in a grand fashion spectacle.
Two remarkable medical professionals from Iloilo were honored as Ambassadors for Life: Dr. Rollin P. Tabuena and his wife, Dr. Ma. Daisy P. Tabuena.
Dr. Rollin Tabuena is a distinguished pulmonologist and internist based in Iloilo, known for his expertise in interventional bronchoscopy and for pioneering research on the TB LAMP (loop-mediated isothermal amplification) test for diagnosing pulmonary tuberculosis, which offers a faster and more accessible diagnostic alternative.
Likewise, Dr. Ma. Daisy Pedroso Tabuena is a prominent neurologist and internist in Iloilo and is recognized as one of the first in Western Visayas to specialize in electromyography and dystonia.
Outside their medical practice, they engage in many charitable initiatives in and beyond their community, helping underserved patients, distributing medical equipment, leading fundraising events, and more.
Their recognition as Ambassadors for Life at the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines not only honors their elegant presence but, more importantly, celebrates their deep commitment to service, health, and hope for communities in Iloilo and beyond.
Also among the distinguished honorees is Bacolod City’s Dr. Hazel Suansing Delfin, recognized as one of the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines, a remarkable blend of beauty, intellect, and creativity.
Her recognition is a testament to her multifaceted excellence and inspiring commitment to both her craft and her community.
Seen on the scene was Iloilo society figure and 2016 BDWP awardee Sheilla Golez-Tiongco, who won an impressive painting at the bidding auction by a famed Filipino artist.
Amid the glam, charity remains the guiding virtue of the annual Best Dressed Women of the Philippines Awards, headed by the ever-chic Consul Helen Ong.
