The number one team in the Philippines Football League showed no signs in slowing down, as the Ceres-Negros FC crushed the Philippine Air Force FC, 7-0.
It took the fast-paced Ceres team 30 minutes to cash in their first goal due to Air Force’s solid defense.
Bienve Marañon drew first blood, converting a beautiful goal to give Ceres a 1-0 lead in the thirty-second mark.
Air Force FC lost their consistency with their defensive schemes, which Ceres Negros capitalized on and never looked back as they began to outwork Air Force, penetrating against their defense at will.
Lopez Mendy’s hat trick sparked the Ceres team, with OJ Porteria, Mike Ott, and Dennis Villanueva contributing goals making the win a collective effort.
Ceres will take the win as a boost in preparation for their rivalry match against Kaya FC-Iloilo on September 18, 2019, as they look to dominate their head-to-head matchup by winning a third time this season.
