BACOLOD City – The 10th wanted person of Region 7 was arrested at Sitio Cogon 2, Barangay Alimango, Escalante City, Negros Occidental last Monday.
Police identified the suspect as Johnrel Gilbuena, 37, a native of Barangay Gibitngil, Medellin, Cebu, but resided at Barangay Alimango.
Based on the report of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, Gilbuena was the subject of an arrest warrant (with no bail recommended) for rape issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 78 Judge Samson Troy Lavese of Bogo City, Cebu on September 18, 2020.
A report from the PRO-6 indicated that the incident happened sometime in April and May 2019 when the suspect allegedly abused a special child.
Gilbuena is also the second most wanted person of Medellin Municipal Police Station, according to the police.
The suspect is now under the custody of Medellin Municipal Police Station.
