BACOLOD CITY — A 40-year-old mechanic from Daanbantayan, Cebu, who was wanted for allegedly killing three people, was arrested in Barangay Rizal, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday.
The accused, identified only as Jim, was served by police with an arrest warrant for murder with no bail recommended.
According to the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region, the crime allegedly stemmed from a personal grudge between the suspect and the victims.
The suspect was tagged as the No. 1 most wanted person in Region 7, or Central Visayas.
The PRO-NIR highlighted the importance of interregional collaboration in strengthening law enforcement efforts, protecting communities, and upholding the rule of law in tracking down high-profile fugitives and ensuring that individuals facing serious criminal charges are held accountable under the law.
