Cebu Pacific has become the first Philippine airline to operate a 100-aircraft fleet with the delivery of a new Airbus A330neo, marking a historic milestone in the country’s aviation sector.
The wide-body, 459-seater aircraft — delivered directly from Airbus’ facility in Toulouse, France — is the 12th A330neo in Cebu Pacific’s fleet and the second of four expected deliveries in 2025.
“Reaching 100 aircraft is more than a milestone — it reflects our unwavering commitment to make air travel accessible to more Filipinos,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific’s president and chief commercial officer. “With a larger fleet, we’re able to operate more efficiently, enhance connectivity across the country and the region, and pass on the benefits of scale through even lower fares.”
The airline, listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange as CEB, said it plans to receive a total of seven new aircraft by the end of 2025 as part of its ongoing expansion.
The new A330neo reinforces Cebu Pacific’s status as the largest A330neo operator in the Asia-Pacific region, a strategic move aimed at boosting operational efficiency and expanding capacity across high-demand routes.
The aircraft model, part of Airbus’ new engine option (NEO) series, consumes up to 25 percent less fuel per flight and generates significantly lower noise levels compared to its predecessors, according to Airbus.
Cebu Pacific’s 100-strong fleet now consists of 12 Airbus A330s, 40 A320s, 26 A321s, and 22 ATR turboprop aircraft, enabling the widest domestic and regional network coverage in the country.
The milestone delivery coincides with steady growth in passenger traffic.
In June 2025, Cebu Pacific transported 2.2 million passengers, a 7.9 percent increase from the same month last year.
From January to June, it flew 13.9 million passengers — up 21 percent from 11.5 million in the first half of 2024.
The A330neo’s extended range and fuel efficiency are critical to Cebu Pacific’s ability to serve long-haul destinations while minimizing costs and carbon emissions.
As sustainability becomes a priority across the airline industry, Cebu Pacific’s growing A330neo fleet positions it competitively to meet international environmental standards and regional travel demand.
