Cebu Pacific has been named one of Asia’s Best Companies in the 2025 FinanceAsia Awards, earning Silver in the Transportation category and standing as the only Philippine airline recognized this year.
The recognition highlights Cebu Pacific’s excellence in corporate governance, investor relations, and financial performance, according to FinanceAsia, a leading regional financial publication.
“We have a long-term vision, maintained financial discipline and built resilient operations to overcome challenges,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer.
“These guiding principles ensure our growth remains responsible and sustainable while keeping our customers’ best interests at heart,” Lao added.
The award comes amid an ambitious growth phase for Cebu Pacific, which includes a record-setting purchase agreement with Airbus for up to 152 A321neo aircraft—the largest in Philippine aviation history.
The airline also launched 28 new routes in 2024, comprising 19 domestic and 9 international destinations, including Chiang Mai, Kaohsiung, and Sapporo.
Cebu Pacific added new hubs in Davao and Iloilo to boost connectivity and complement its main bases in Manila, Cebu, and Clark.
In May, the airline signed a Memorandum of Understanding with flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing low-cost carrier, to wet-lease two Airbus A320s during the Kingdom’s peak summer season.
A reciprocal deal is under consideration for Cebu Pacific’s winter travel surge in Southeast Asia.
These initiatives support the airline’s target of flying 30 million passengers in 2025, driven by network expansion and increased seat capacity.
Cebu Pacific currently serves 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
Its continued investment in fleet modernization and operational resilience reflects the carrier’s long-term strategy to lead Philippine aviation while maintaining financial strength.
