Cebu Pacific backs DOT domestic tourism campaign

Cebu Pacific is strengthening its partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) to encourage more Filipinos to travel within the country through the government’s new “Discover More to Love” campaign, while offering discounted fares to boost domestic tourism.
The country’s largest carrier said the initiative reinforces its long-standing commitment to making air travel more affordable and accessible, helping drive tourism spending and support local economies that depend on domestic travelers.
The DOT’s latest campaign, launched under newly appointed Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay, encourages Filipinos to rediscover the country’s diverse destinations, cultures, heritage, and local experiences through authentic and meaningful travel.
The campaign complements Cebu Pacific’s own domestic tourism initiative, “Discover Juan by Juan,” which promotes travel to destinations across the archipelago while highlighting the unique character of each community.
Cebu Pacific supports the DOT’s tourism agenda through year-round low fares, regular seat sales, and its extensive domestic route network, making travel more accessible to a broader segment of Filipino travelers.
The airline also works with hotels, cafés, wellness brands, and other local businesses to enrich the travel experience and encourage visitors to spend more time and money in local destinations.
As part of the partnership, Cebu Pacific launched a special seat sale offering one-way base fares from Manila and Clark to select domestic destinations for as low as PHP 188, exclusive of fees and surcharges.
The promotional fares are available for booking until July 17, with travel dates valid through Nov. 30, 2026.
“Cebu Pacific has been a steadfast partner of the Department of Tourism in opening more destinations across the Philippines and making travel more accessible for every Filipino. We are proud to support the ‘Discover More to Love’ campaign by making it easier and more affordable to explore the destinations that make the Philippines truly unique,” said Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific chief marketing and customer experience officer.
“As we continue to expand connectivity and bring more travelers to both established and emerging destinations, we hope to create greater opportunities for local communities, tourism businesses, and the many Filipinos whose livelihoods depend on a thriving tourism industry,” she added.
Domestic tourism remains a key driver of the Philippine travel industry, providing revenue for transportation providers, accommodation establishments, restaurants, tour operators, and micro, small, and medium enterprises in tourism-dependent communities.
For the past three decades, Cebu Pacific has played a major role in expanding domestic tourism by connecting more destinations through affordable airfares and an extensive route network.
The airline said it has helped increase visitor arrivals to destinations such as Siargao, Coron, and El Nido, contributing to local employment, business growth, and the government’s efforts to strengthen the domestic tourism sector.
Cebu Pacific currently operates flights to 35 domestic destinations across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, continuing its strategy of expanding connectivity while making travel more accessible for Filipino travelers.
