Cebu Pacific has signed an agreement with Lufthansa Systems to adopt the NetLine suite for operations control and crew management, marking a strategic move to enhance operational efficiency and support its ambitious growth plans.
The agreement was formalized at the Paris Air Show on June 16, 2025, signaling the Philippine carrier’s commitment to modernizing its internal systems with next-generation aviation technology.
The NetLine suite was selected for its advanced capabilities in real-time disruption management, flight operations monitoring, crew planning, and automated rostering.
The operations control system collects and evaluates data including weather conditions, airspace constraints, and aircraft performance, alerting the operations team to possible disruptions and enabling fast, data-driven decisions.
The crew management component, developed with support from aviation tech firm ROIS/Pi, uses machine learning and rapid optimization to streamline roster planning and promote a more balanced, efficient crew experience.
The combined system will allow Cebu Pacific to optimize aircraft assignment, improve regulatory compliance, and enhance service reliability—all while reducing operational costs.
“This partnership is central to enabling the scaling of our operations,” said Mike Szücs, Chief Executive Officer of Cebu Pacific.
“We’re investing in the internal infrastructure with world-class systems that will enhance safety, operational resilience, efficiency and crew wellbeing as we grow our fleet and expand our network across the region,” he added.
Szücs noted the upgrades are part of Cebu Pacific’s broader strategy to capture growth opportunities across the Philippines and Asia.
Stefanie Neumann, CEO of Lufthansa Systems, welcomed the partnership, saying, “We are proud to support Cebu Pacific’s ambitious vision. Together, we’re building a scalable, future-ready operations platform.”
Implementation of the NetLine suite will begin this year and will cover the entire operations lifecycle, from resource planning and flight scheduling to live day-of-operations support.
Cebu Pacific is the largest carrier in the Philippines, with 37 domestic and 26 international destinations, and a fleet of 98 aircraft—the youngest jet fleet in the country.
The airline’s hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Iloilo, and Davao anchor its regional expansion, with service extending to Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
Lufthansa Systems, based in Raunheim near Frankfurt, Germany, is a leading IT provider for the aviation industry, serving more than 350 airline clients across 16 countries.
