BACOLOD CITY – A former drug offender was arrested again for the same offense in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 3 here on Thursday, resulting in the confiscation of PHP680,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) launched the operation against “Dennis,” 46, a resident of the said barangay.
A report from the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) stated that the suspect allegedly yielded 100 grams of suspected shabu and PHP1,000 in marked money.
Police Lt. Col. Joem Malong, PRO-NIR spokesperson, cited a Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) report saying the suspect was previously arrested for a drug offense in 2021 and was released in November 2024.
Malong added that the suspect was also arrested in Manapla, Negros Occidental for theft but was later released.
The police have tagged the suspect as a high-value individual.
