Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new trailer for “The Cat in the Hat,” the animated theatrical feature film debut of the beloved Dr. Seuss character.
The film, starring Bill Hader and Xochitl Gomez, opens in Philippine cinemas and IMAX on Nov. 4.
Hader voices the Cat, a mischievous agent of the I.I.I.I., or the Institute for the Institution of Imagination and Inspiration LLC.
In the film, the Cat takes on his toughest assignment yet: cheering up Gabby and Sebastian, a pair of siblings struggling with their move to a new town.
Known for taking things too far, the agent of chaos faces what could be his last chance to prove himself — or lose his magical hat.
In the wonderfully whimsical tradition of Dr. Seuss, “The Cat in the Hat” brings the character to the big screen in an all-new animated adventure where mischief, magic, and mayhem reign supreme.
The film follows the Cat as he spreads joy to children in his hilarious, signature, and singularly irreverent way, transporting them and audiences on a fantastical journey through a world they have never seen before.
Starring alongside Hader are Gomez, Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, and Paula Pell.
The voice cast also features Tiago Martinez, Giancarlo Esposito, America Ferrera, Bowen Yang, and Tituss Burgess.
The film is directed by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja.
“The Cat in the Hat” is Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s first full-length feature film and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
The movie is set for theatrical release in November 2026, with the official movie site listing a Nov. 6 release date for the U.S. market.
The film follows Warner Bros.’ 2018 deal with Dr. Seuss Enterprises to develop films based on the author’s works and marks a new animated take on the character after the 2003 live-action adaptation.
