ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 35-year-old carpenter was arrested for illegal drug charges Tuesday evening at his house in Barangay Sto. Angel, Dumalag, Capiz.
The operation was conducted by the Dumalag Municipal Police Station, the Capiz Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU), and the 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company (CPMFC).
Police identified the suspect as Jonel Tupa who yielded a coin purse containing 12 sachets of suspected shabu. The around 10 grams of alleged shabu was valued at P68,000.
Regional Trial Court Branch 21 Judge Judith Orendain-Tonogbanua in Mambusao, Capiz issued the arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) on May 16, 2023.
