Capiz’s No. 2 most wanted nabbed in Dumara

A man listed as the No. 2 most wanted person in Capiz province was arrested on Feb. 3 during the service of a warrant in Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Dumarao.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Nicanor,” was apprehended at around 2:35 p.m. by personnel from the Dumarao Municipal Police Station, 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company, Tracker Team, and the Police Intelligence Team–Capiz of RIU6.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Capiz Police Provincial Director Col. Albert D. Tapulao.
The warrant was issued for two counts of statutory rape and one count of lascivious conduct under Article 266 of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610, as amended by Republic Act 11648.
No bail was recommended for the statutory rape charges. Bail for the lascivious conduct charge was set at PHP 180,000.
Police said the suspect was informed of the charges and his constitutional rights before being brought to the Dumarao Municipal Police Station for booking and proper disposition.
The Capiz Police Provincial Office said it remains committed to pursuing fugitives and enforcing court orders to uphold the rule of law and ensure public safety across the province.
