ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 21-year-old marine student from Capiz was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation Wednesday evening, April 22, in Iloilo City.
Reports from the Iloilo City Police Office identified the suspect as alias “Dom,” a resident of Barangay Sto. Niño, Dumalag, Capiz, who was temporarily staying in Iloilo City.
The suspect, a third-year marine student at one of the schools in Iloilo City, was arrested during the operation on C1 Road in Barangay San Jose, Arevalo, Iloilo City.
Recovered from the suspect’s possession and control were three sachets of suspected shabu weighing 3 grams, with a standard value of PHP 20,400.
Police also recovered PHP 1,000 in buy-bust money from the suspect.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Iloilo City police for proper disposition, while charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against him.
