ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Police arrested one of the Top 4 most wanted persons Wednesday afternoon, April 1, in Barangay Bolo, Roxas City.
Police identified the suspect as alias Earl, 48, of Barangay Cudian, Ivisan, Capiz.
The arrest was made on the strength of a warrant issued March 31, 2026, by Regional Trial Court Judge Joan Marie B. Betita of Branch 14 in Roxas City for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
The court recommended bail of PHP 242,000 for his temporary liberty.
The suspect is under the custody of the Ivisan Police Station.
In a separate operation, the Mambusao Municipal Police Station arrested a farmer last Tuesday in Barangay Caidquid, Mambusao, Capiz, on a charge of qualified rape.
Police identified the suspect as alias Nonoy, an adult resident of the area.
Police said the suspect was listed among the province’s Top 4 most wanted persons and the municipality’s Top 2 most wanted persons.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Judith D. Orendain-Tonogbanua of Regional Trial Court Branch 20 in Mambusao, Capiz.
The court recommended no bail for his temporary liberty.
He is under the custody of the Mambusao police for proper disposition.
