ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The No. 9 most wanted person in the province was arrested Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 2, by the Panit-an Municipal Police Station.
Police identified the suspect as Jeffrey Estrella y Flores, 27, jobless, and a resident of Sitio Tambague, Barangay Bahit, Panit-an, Capiz.
He faces charges for violating Section 20 (a) in relation to Section 28 (e) of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Kristine B. Tiangco-Vinculado of the Regional Trial Court Branch 16 in Roxas City on June 4, 2025.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Panit-an police for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, police arrested three most wanted individuals during weeklong operations from Aug. 25 to 31, 2025.
A report from the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) said two were listed as most wanted and one as a wanted person.
One of those arrested was facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, with police recovering 96.64 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 656,907.20.
Five others were arrested in four separate operations for violating Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, leading to the confiscation of five unlicensed firearms.
Police also arrested a woman caught soliciting bets for illegal gambling in Pilar town.
Meanwhile, 11 individuals were caught in Ivisan town for illegal fishing, with authorities seizing a fishing boat and paraphernalia worth PHP 762,000.
