ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A provincial top nine most wanted person was arrested by police on Saturday afternoon, April 18, in Barangay Dongsol, Pototan, Iloilo.
The Mambusao Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as Klyde Angelo, 22, a hatchery caretaker and resident of Barangay Burias, Mambusao, Capiz, who was temporarily staying in Barangay Dongsol, Pototan.
Police said the suspect was ranked No. 9 on the provincial most wanted list and No. 3 on the municipal list.
He was arrested on the strength of a warrant for alleged violation of Section 5(b) of Republic Act No. 7610, or lascivious conduct, issued on April 15, 2026, by Judge Kareen Porquez De La Cruz of the Family Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 5, Iloilo City.
Republic Act No. 7610 is the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The court recommended bail of PHP 200,000 for his temporary liberty.
The suspect is under the custody of the Mambusao police for proper disposition.
In a separate operation, a laborer was arrested after an unlicensed firearm was recovered during the implementation of a search warrant on Monday morning, April 20, in Sitio Lunok, Barangay Sibariwan, Dumarao, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect only as alias “Jessie,” 46, of the area.
Police recovered a .38-caliber revolver loaded with four live rounds from the suspect.
The search warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Lorencito Diaz of Branch 17 in Roxas City.
The suspect is under the custody of the Dumarao police for proper disposition.
