Capiz readies ‘Handog ng Pangulo’ services

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The Capiz provincial government is preparing for the “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Tapat Para sa Lahat” program set for Sept. 14 at Robinsons Place Roxas in Pueblo de Panay.

Preparations were discussed Thursday morning, Sept. 10, during a coordination meeting with participating government agencies at the Hall of Governors of the Capiz Provincial Capitol.

Among the agencies expected to provide public services are PhilHealth, the Philippine Statistics Authority, Pag-IBIG Fund, Social Security System, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Labor and Employment, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Legal, medical, and dental services will also be offered during the activity.

Rice priced at PHP 20 per kilogram will also be sold in front of the Provincial Capitol as part of the program.

The nationwide “Handog ng Pangulo” initiative is being held in connection with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s 69th birthday, with government agencies providing services and assistance to Filipinos in simultaneous activities across the country.

Similar “Handog ng Pangulo” activities are scheduled nationwide on Sept. 14 as part of efforts to bring government employment, livelihood, social protection, and other services closer to communities.
