Capiz PPO Press Link elects new officers

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO), led by provincial director Police Col. David L. Cachumbo Jr., held the election of officers for the Capiz PPO Press Link at Camp Teodorico C. Apil in Barangay Lanot, Roxas City, on Sept. 10, 2026.

The activity was attended by media practitioners from across Capiz and aimed to establish a representative leadership that would strengthen coordination, communication, and cooperation between the CPPO and its media partners.

Police Maj. Rachelle D. Garnica, CPPO public information officer and assistant chief of the Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit, facilitated the program and discussed the roles and responsibilities of the newly elected officers.

The following were elected officers of the Capiz PPO Press Link:

President: Edalyn Acta — Capiz Times

Vice president: Zaldy Aguihap Jr. — XFM Roxas

Secretary: Myla Fuentes — K5 News FM Roxas

Treasurer: Cris Angelo Ayayo — Brigada News FM

Auditor: Rea Deocampo — CAP Rhythm

Public relations officer: Gena Arcosa — Bombo Radyo Roxas

Chairman of the board: Vergel Obienda — Radyo Merkado

Board members are Robert Nem of IBC DYJJ; Jessa Mae Delos Santos of Radyo Maragtas; Rey Lacao of IFM Roxas; Rolly Delfin of DYVR RMN Roxas; Venz Deocampo of Capiz Times; Michael Enoslay of DYCN Roxas; Satur de Justo of Capiz News Highlights; and Elmer Estimar of XFM Roxas.

In his closing message, Cachumbo emphasized the importance of sustaining a strong partnership between the Capiz police and the media community to promote accurate information dissemination, transparency, and effective public communication.

The CPPO said it remains committed to strengthening collaboration with media stakeholders as part of efforts to build public trust and ensure the timely delivery of police information and services to the community.
